These Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of hecohvac.com and its online features. The website is operated by HECO Heating and Air Conditioning ("HECO," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Website Information
Website content is provided for general informational purposes. It does not replace an on-site evaluation, equipment diagnosis, written estimate, manufacturer instruction, permit requirement, utility-program rule, or signed service or installation agreement. Actual HVAC conditions and appropriate solutions vary by property and equipment.
2. Service and Appointment Requests
Submitting an online form requests contact from HECO; it does not create or confirm an appointment, guarantee same-day service, reserve an arrival window, or require HECO to accept a project. An appointment is confirmed only when HECO communicates confirmation to you. Service availability depends on location, scheduling, site conditions, and the requested work.
3. Emergencies
This website is not an emergency-reporting or 24-hour monitoring service. For a fire, suspected gas leak, carbon-monoxide alarm, or immediate danger, leave the affected area and contact 911, the appropriate utility, or other emergency authority. Do not rely on an online service request for urgent safety assistance.
4. Estimates, Prices, Savings, and System Comparisons
Online calculators, examples, operating-cost comparisons, efficiency estimates, energy savings, and similar projections are educational estimates only. Results are not quotes, guarantees, engineering calculations, or promises of future utility savings. Actual results depend on weather, rates, building construction, insulation, ductwork, occupant behavior, equipment selection, installation quality, maintenance, and other conditions.
Prices, scopes, equipment, warranties, and project terms are controlled by the written estimate, proposal, invoice, or agreement issued for the specific job.
5. Rebates, Tax Credits, and Financing
Rebate, incentive, tax-credit, and financing information may change and is subject to program rules, funding, qualification, credit approval, equipment eligibility, documentation, and third-party decisions. HECO does not guarantee approval, availability, or a particular benefit. Customers should review current program terms and consult their own tax or financial adviser when appropriate.
6. Your Information and Communications
You agree to provide accurate, current information and not submit information belonging to another person without authority. When you request service, you authorize HECO to contact you about that request using the contact information you provide. 7. Acceptable Use

12. California Law
These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, disputes concerning website use will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Placer County, California. These Terms do not limit rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
13. Changes and Severability
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the Last Updated date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted.
